My favourite Celtic player is Kris Ajer closely followed by Tom Rogic, the news that both are healthy for this weekend makes me smile, but the grim reality of the astroturf they will be expected to play on has me questioning if they should play.
Let us be truthful, Rogic is an amazing player who is often injured in innocuous fashion, he arrived home from the Asian Cup with a reported broken hand and came back from the doctors with a crocked knee.
He is an amazing player and one who has a huge role to play at the Champions going forward, but after such a long set back, is Hamilton the place to play him?
The same goes with Ajer, an amazing footballer who seems to be able to play anywhere on the park, hell if you gave him the gloves he would be keeping clean sheets before long.
But he has had his injury clouds, with Europe beckoning I would much prefer to see him on the bench, hopefully as an unused substitute, and given limited game time if need be.
The squad we have is incredible, I honestly can’t remember a better window since Lennon sold McGeady and rebuilt the squad from scratch.
On the back f the sale of KT, he has brought in both first-teamers and projects, it is time he used them and spared players who are crucial to the cause the nightmare of that horrible surface.
